Default Need suspension advice!

Hello! I have a 1992 SC300 running stock suspension. I just upgraded my wheels to 18x8 all the way around. I'm interested in getting new shocks & springs that will lower my car nicely...but don't want to have a rocky ride. I know it's going to be more firm than before...but don't want anything too rough. What suspension combination works well?

I've been reading a lot of forums and it seems like I can use a set that works on the Supra NA or something that is made for the SC300 specifically. Which is better?

Dude, if you had been reading (what you claim as) ALOT of the forums, you'd come across the name "tein cs" the phrase that every Lexus/luxury car owner should know. Supra NA springs? don't punish yourself like this man...

Ha ha ha! I saw the TEIN's but they are way out of my budget when I called for prices. I know a spring/shock combo is not as good as coilovers, but right now that's all I can afford.

You could go w/Espelirs. The drop is about 2" i believe but the ride is great.

go eibach for a conservative 1" drop, ride is a little rougher, go with tokico blues for comfort or kyb for stiffer ride.

You want soft? I'm sure you've heard this before. "you've got to pay to play" or "you get what you pay for" I go by those sayings, so do many other members on CL with hot *** cars. Good Luck with the springs, hope you see that you're going the wrong route though.

If I go with Espelirs that create a 2" drop, will my front tires be tucked in the fenders? I am currently running on 18" wheels.

And is it a 2" drop all the way around?...or is that just in the front and the rear sits a little higher...?

I've also got 18x8 all the way around, SC300 eibachs + tokicos blues and they ride pretty nice. It lowers the car about an inch. firm but not like a jackhammer. just alittle bit stiffer than OEM.

Thanks cloud9! Do you have any pictures of your car with your drop? Can you send them to me if possible? E-mail me at mrjohal@mac.com.

Right now I'm debating between the Eibach's (1" drop) + Tokiko blue or the Espelirs (2" drop) + Tokiko blue.

If I go with the Eibach pro kit for the Supra NA, that should be about a 1.5" drop...right in between the SC300 Eibach and SC300 Espelirs....right?
