My '97 SC300 dash button lights are going out.
In the center consule, the lights for the buttons:
The A/C [Front defrost] and [rear defrost] and [inside/outside air]
buttons.
The A/C [OFF] and [Fan speed] buttons.
The radio [AM] and [FM1/2] and [Tune/Seek] buttons.

Also, on the speedo group, the green light that indicates
the headlights are on has also quit.

Can any of these be replaced by myself (i.e. a halfway
decent handyman) individually or does
it require a whole circuit board.

How does the bezel around the center consule around the radio
be removed... Does it just pop out using a screwdriver to pry
it off??

dim your dash lights a bit. Ive noticed when its hot out or hot inside the car my fuel gage flickers a little but all my others are fine.. I just turn the little **** down and it stops. But at night u can turn it all the way up and its fine(since its cooler)

 

You don't even have to try to search to find your answer........... but it helps

I have searched..a lot....most said hit the dash hard... doesn't work for me.
I need to get in the center column console where radio and
a/c controls are, and replace the light bulbs for the buttons... or
whatever is lighting the buttons.. bulbs/led's/fiberopics.. whatever.
