Do you mind posting what the solution was, in case someone else has the same issue?

the problem was after my bfi was installed the engine light came on. what had happened was i had removed the maf sensor, the air box and everything. i had forgot to turn the wheel all the way to the left before i turned the car off so i could get the headlight out. when i turned the car on to turn the wheels, it on it kicked on the light.
the solution was to reset the ecu. hope this helps

Glad the problem is solved, next time remove the airbox from the MAF. Leave MAF alone, delicate piece of equipment.
