Problem with MAF Sensor, losing power on freeway
My car has been having intermittent problems when driving on the freeway. This happens when the engine is warm, and I have been driving for a while. The car will suddenly lose power, which is very dangerous on the freeway. This has occurred probably 4-5 times already.
Anyways, I took my OBDII reader and pulled P0101 which is poor performance of air on MAF sensor.
I bought a can of MAF cleaner, and sprayed it, but the problem is still there.
Is my only option to replace the MAF sensor?

you using the stock intake? It could be that your maf wires are too close to the direct injection wire looms. THey give off strong electromagnetic interference that can cause havoc on the maf signal it sends to the ecu if they are within about 1-1.5 inches of each other.

So i went ahead and checked the wires going to the MAF, but there doesnt seem to be much play. Does anyone recommend the MAF sensors on ebay? (seems to be OEM style)
