Default Widest wheels

What are the widest wheels (18") that a Soarer/SC can accomodate front and rear?

Also, whats available in those widths that can clear AP/Brembo sized brakes?

Thanks in advance

Syed

WElcome here to CL

Check the search feature first and foremost, also, this page ought to be stickied, not sure why it isn't, but Everything you need should be here:

If it's not there, and you have a question regarding fitment, post in that thread. Chances are if you have that question, there are or will be several more with the same one.

Thanks! A most useful link.

Looks like for me, 8.5" FR/10" rear is best bet.

But it does not shed any light on the brake situation. Has anyone actually got some Brembo or similar brakes?

There are plenty of guys running BBK (big brake kits) with wheels (search for post by AcleanSC (I think thats Tony's screen name) or Manaray, or Streetking.)

I have heard of guys even wedging 11's in the rear, the problem you encounter however, is the rubbing of the wheel/tire on suspension components. I would say that a 18X9 and a 18X10 is fine. you will have to run some what conservative offsets on that width to fit in the fender. With a 8.5 and a 9.5 you can run slightly more agressive offsets and get a bit more lip.

I have Brembos on my car. I've had a 9.0"fr / 11"r setup made before.

Depending on who or where you buy your wheels make sure they are setup for bbk clearance.

18x10 and 18x11 with the right offsets are probably the best setup.. in terms of appearance, i have done some research and i have ordered a new set of wheels with my own offsets based on what i've learned here on CL..

they should be in within the week and I hope everything works well.. so far i've had all four fenders rolled then the two front ones shaved..

we'll see how it goes then i can contribute to the official wheel and tire fitment guide

but with a 11 and a 10 you have to run a VERY conservative offset unless your all about pulling fenders and crazy camber. (which I am- but I dont have the guts to do it to my baby yet!)
