170 dollars for installation? What did they do?
It's a 15 minute job!

go RETRO!!

there are plenty of nice examples floating around here for HID retrofits...

indypwr and sc400t have done the e46/audi TT single xenon retrofit and they look amazing!!

there's others that use e39 such as CleanSC, AutoCoutureSC, Siniquezu...

I think ummagawd is using e55 bixenons in his...

$170 is for installation...plug and play kits are plug and play aren't they?

they're easy enough to do yourself =)

Lex4Jess makes brackets that allow certain projectors to still be aimed after sealing up the headlight.

I'm in the works of doing the same one indypwr and sc400t have done...

I'm probably the worst DIY'er on this board but I can safely say that ANYONE can do the HID install themselves. It's just about as hard as replacing a broken light bulb - since everything's plug and play and connecting a wire a couple inches to the battery. 20 minutes or less

Ok... for $170,.. they installed the kit, and no, it didn't look hard,... HOWEVER,... I am a person who likes PERFECT / NEAT, and that's exactly what I got. They ran the wires inconspicuosly,... lot of tie wrap work,... and also,...if they damaged anything ( which we all know shiyat happens ),...they were liable,...where as,...If I broke something,..bulb,..whatever,... I'd be buying another one outta my own money....

It took about 30 min's or so for him to get it all in,.... and I'm satisfied,.... I had a Lexus tech who was gonna do it for like $100 max,...but he couldn't get to it till Tues / Wed of next week and I wasn't goin' for that,...plus I am not a guy that has much free time on my hands to even play with my car,...so hence,... I paid and got it done,..and was on my way.... waiting for it to get dark to see what tha hell they do!

Din,... CarToys installed it on FM1960 and HWY249 by Willowbrook Mall.
