NO WHERE ON GOD's GREEN EARTH have I seen retrofit options cost that low, or it would have gotten done.
Illusion Lighting from intellexual.net - retro = $900 / $100 for cosmetic trim,... sounds like $1K to me
there was one site,...and if i can find it again,... they sold the retrofitted assembly for $2400,....
so, given the information,.... I think I made a pretty good choice. Hell, cartoys off-brand no name HID kit was $600 installed on a blowout clearance,... and local speed shops who still carry some other no names sell them for $800 w/o labor.
Maybe I should'a looked at installin' myself,...but anyone from Texas knows too things right about now... ITS HOT AS HELL, and in Houston IT"S HUMID AS HELL,...so on that day, at that time... I didn't feel like dealin' with either,.... so paid.... I will take donations for anyone who thinks I paid too much
I'm happy with my purchase...

hey man i wasnt knockin waht you spent, I was just sharing what i jsut did. I didnt know you were looking for anyoen local to install. I would of gladly helped you. Also im sure my install is nothign compared to yours. I jsut hooked them up real quick and didnt hide the wires to well.
no prob Din,.. wasn't trippin' on you... just lettin' the others know that I did research this before optin' to spend.... and the lazy factor was there,... i do most stuff myself,...but hey,.... can't do it all....
i'll pm ya next time i head to midtown ( fish ),... check out each rides and what not.
i'm still thinkin' those people who were sellin' those premade kits for $2400 need an azzwhoopin'... now IMO,'...that's too much to spend on lighting.
