Question

Ok, I want some clear front side markers and it's getting ridiculous in trying to get a pair. I was emailed about a month ago from an Australian supplier, it came out to roughly 190$ US (no shipping). That's way too much for a couple pieces of plastic. It's cheaper to fabricate new ones.

So, tommorow (finally a day off, phew), I will call local plastic fabricating shops and ask them if and how much to fabricate new plastic clear front side markers.

Questions, what do you all prefer? Milky white or crystal clear front side markers? Are the front side markers simply plastic covers? How do you remove them (i've tried, but have no idea)?

Hopefully i'll find a company to do this tomorrow and maybe we can get enough people to get a group discount. So if you're interested just reply to this post so I can have a rough estimate (replying doesn't mean you will definitely buy one, just that you are interested in buying a pair). If it's possible, I'll buy one pair for myself first and then make a new thread for ordering.

Default clear corners

The ones from clearcorners.com look nasty IMO...It looks clear with an orange outline.

Anyways, to remove them...simply take off 2 or 3 screws of the panel in the wheel well and open it up. You can then put your hand in there and unscrew it. It's only 2 screws so it's not that hard. The only problem for me was that it's tight as hell!

Good luck,
Tony

I just checked out clearcorners.com, looks like they finally got rid of that photoshop job with the orange trim and they have real pictures of the clear corners.

I think I might buy my clears from that site unless a lot of people are still interested in clear corners. If enough people are still interested, just reply to this thread and I'll go ahead and find out pricing and such.

hey guys...is it just me, or should clear corner lights cost only like 30-40 dollars????? I think they are awsome and would love to put them on my car, but i think $100 (clearcorners.com price) is way to much for a clear piece of plastic that size. Does anyone know why they cost that much and how much a pair of the orange sidelights costs?

Thumbs up

I used to have an Accord and 2 pieces of plastic bigger than that could be found for under $20 but I guess that's just one of the costs of owning such an aweome car! I'd be in if they could be done for around $50 or so. My vote is definately for crystal clear - it matches the front lenses and looks superb on black!

I'm in if they are not much more than $100. As far as GT Autosports, I've tried twice to buy them and they just ignore me, (even sent a check once). Also, at clearcorcers.com the lights are $100+an original pair (you must send them)... I don't know what those run for. Anyways I'm in.

I'm in if they are not over $100.

I've tried to buy them at GT Autosports and they take my check and ignore me, then I have to cancel it (TWICE)!

Also, at clearcorners.com you have to pay them $100 and send in an original orange pair, don't know how much tose run.
