Status:
I called a few places on the weekend but they were all closed. I worked all day monday and didn't have time to call any place. I had classes all day today (just got out) and tried calling those places again but they were closed. Tommorow I have the entire day to myself . Hopefully I can get some quotes tommorow, or at least some info.

I'm about to try to modify some sidemarkers off another car to see if they will fit my sc... I'll let you guys know how this goes, and if it goes well it might be a lot cheaper ($20) alternative to trying to find sidemarkers for your car

Ok, I met with the plastic molders today. Definitely not going to go that route. The companies that I went to usually do large (1000+) bulk. Just to get the molds and everything else the guy told me 25,000$ to 30,000$ start up. Needless to say, that's out of my price league for side lenses

He did reccomend that I go to some plastic machinests and find out how much it would be to prototype it and manufacture them. Tommorow I'll call around some more.

Maybe I'll wait to see if YuuDawg is successful.

If this is still too expensive and nothing else works, I'll take up plastic molding up as a hobby

That's alot of money to start up a mold for some side markers. I wish you good luck for all of us SC owners.

Seismic, did you notice that this thread was over 2 YEARS old? The ones from Takakaira are about a buck and a quarter.

price at takakaira is about 140-160 if i rember correctly... it cost me about 260 CDN with the duties and exchange rate but no complaints they are one of a kind. Beside the preludes' clear corner at the next parking spot (which he got a month after mine) they look ALOT nicer and better quality. vegasc has posted pics of them (before they were installed) good quality stuff. and shipping was fast. Price IS alittle steep but..... a very subtle improvement to my black sc

EDIT: oops this thread started in 2001... didn't even notice...... ah well it might help someone new to the club

Red face I'd like some clear corners...

Yeah, sorry...
I didn't notice how old the thread was, but since I just got my SC4 in Aug. and I'd like to get some clear side markers it caught my interest.

So where are the best clear lenses to be found? When I get my hands on a set I'm considering modding them with LEDs similar to clearcorners.com

Hey guys. You only have 3 choices. Noone will probably make any new ones.

1) DIY which has been posted here before. Do a search
2) www.clearcorners.com which can be pretty pricey if you do all the options plus you have to send in you stock markers.
3) www.takakaira.com which has the D speed corner. They were $143 shipped from japan and it only took about 4 days to get them. They are real nice.
