i have 93' SC4 Auto w/ intake and iridium plugs. I need more horses/torque. What would give me more power, and im pressed for money. I was thinking plug wires, exhaust, TC, Performance CHIP of some type or like pulleys or maybe something i dont even know about.

everything you just stated would give it more hp/tq safc or some type of tuning will help tremensley, but mainly most of all, the number one thing that will help you is the search button. hope this helped

Basically all the things you have mentioned is it. And since you are pressed for money FI is out of the question. Luxurymods.com has a chip you can buy kind of expensive though, but dyno sheet shows that you gain 30hp/50tq. Get some new 2.25 inch piping and some nice mufflers, like magnaflow. You could even straight pipe it, and that would help out even more. But the V8 would really scream with power from FI but it is quite costly. Might even wanna consider weight reduction, so you have better power to weight ratio, that would speed you up a tad.
Your big Iron block V8 is already torquey. But if you want more get full exhaust with some cut outs and squeeze!
You'll feel something for sure.

That big "Iron Block" 1uz is 60 lbs lighter than a 2jz and all aluminum by the way-- The 2jz is iron block

Banned - could not follow forum rules
Exhaust for cheap - Bent 2.50 inch rear exhaust piping, Ebay high flow mufflers and cats...
Intake - BFI intake
Apexi Safc 11 and tune.....Not cheap but effective
Lextreme.com torque converter...Not cheap but seriously effective.

I know this is not what you want to hear...BUT you'll be wasting money on the SC400 on other mentioned "power mods." You can probably supercharge your car for ~$1,500..that will give you the most noticeable and worthy power increase imho.

Yes. Many cars have been supercharged in this same ~$1,500 price range and even less. It's a much simpler system than turbo and most of the time cheaper (although you won't make as much peak hp as a proper turbo car) A few guys on supraforums.com supercharged their 2JZ-GE engines for only ~$1,000.Originally Posted by MJHSC400

Info on s/c ing an SC400 would be nice--
I doubt it can happen that cheap--
What sort of boost control do they use??? Blow off valve??
FPR??
I guess that's all you need minus the unneeded boost controller--
Question?? Couldn't you put a higher boost pulley on it, fit a "wastegate" to the charge pipe, and control it with a boost controller to achieve a sequential boost setup?? With something like a profec b???
