I just installed the F. Strut Bar I ordered from importtoys and let me say first off..it wasnt an easy task to install, the bar does hit the intake manifold, which is causing some vibration and excessive noise at lower RPMs. Can anyone please help me with this?

Default Do you have an SC4 or 3?

I got my strut bar from Motorsports Warehouse, but I can't imagine theirs to be that much different. There should be an adjustment to elevate the bar so that it clears the manifold. I had mine too low the first time and experienced the same vibrations, but just a few adjustments on both sides and I was able to make the appropriate clearance. Another trick is to tighten the bar such that the entire middle bar is angled to clear whatever you need to clear.
good luck!

Try using washers at the mounting points - but then this will cause the body flex to be transmitted to the connecting bolts and the bolts may bend.
A one piece washer on either side may work.

I've had the same problems to on my LS. Just mount the bar on some washers, i use one rubber ones and some metals one on top of that. Just make sure to really bolt it down to avoid uneven pressure which causes the bolt to bend or such.

Question Cusco

I was thinking about getting a Cusco front strut bar for my 92 SC300. Has anyone tried theirs and had any complaints, etc?
