Strut Bar Installation ?
Hey all, just a real quick question. What all do you have to do to install a strut tower bar? Do you have to take the wheels off or jack the car up and take the pressure off of those 3 bolts that stick up through the tower? ... Or can you just leave the car on the ground, undo those 3 bolts, stick it on and screw it down?

search please. and no you dont have to jack up the car or do anything out of extraordinary. take off 3 nuts from each side of the car and put on the trut tower bar. what kind of bar do you have? some bars will need to have washer installed as spacers to clear intake manifold, and other dont.
You will need extra washers to clear, about 3 on each post. Its pretty tough to pop on, i used a leverage bar to pop it on to the posts, easy as pie with that thing.

The bar is going to be a really snug fit, so you have to flex it just enough to clear the posts on each tower. Just put one side on the posts and go to the other side of the car and use some kind of leverage to flex the bar over the posts, do it easy it should slide right on..dont try it with ur hands by pushing it on, youll hurt urself haha
Place whatever ur going to use for leverage on the top part where it has the big circle opening. Push it easy toward the throttle body and it should flex just enough to slide onto the posts. THe End

If you are on lowered suspension, raise the front of the car up then install the strut bar. No need to take the wheels off. If on stock suspension, no need to raise up the front at all.

What abut this? How come there doent seem to be any rear strut tower bars for the SC? I'm thinking of just getting one custom made, because it's so frustrating not being able to find one for the SC.
