bleeding brakes?
anyone know the procedure on how to bleed the traction/abs actuator and accumlator? i know how to bleed the brakes just dont know how to bleed the traction/abs actuator and accumlator. which ones should i do first, second, and last?
1) ABS bleeding procedure is the same procedure used in
bleeding conventional brake system. On models without TRAC, if master
cylinder is rebuilt or reservoir is empty, bleed master cylinder
first. On models with TRAC, bleed TRAC system first. To bleed TRAC
system, go to step 3).
3) Connect vinyl hose to bleeder plug of accumulator. Loosen
accumulator bleeder plug. Start engine. Operate TRAC pump motor until
all air bubbles have been bled. Tighten bleeder plug to 74 INCH lbs.
(8.3 N.m). With engine running, add brake fluid. Turn engine off.
4) Connect vinyl tube to bleeder plug of TRAC actuator.
Loosen bleeder plug. Start engine. Operate TRAC pump motor until all
air bubbles have been bled. Tighten bleeder plug to 74 INCH lbs. (8.3
N.m). With engine running, add brake fluid. Turn engine off. Clear any
code(s) stored. See CLEARING CODES under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
but I have problem with (3) - there is no fluid at all, not pressurized air too... strange but trac work and abs too, (4) was fine as instruction says.
let me know what happen with (3) when you will bleeding yout trac system

Im bring the thread back from the dead. I also would like some more info or pics on the bleeding process. i have already bled my brakes but they still feel soft the first intial press of the brakes, if i pump the brake pedel first and the press again the brakes feel great i just would like to know how to bleed the abs system or atleast tell me where exactly the bleed valve on the system is. I plan on doing the TT brake set up eventually but i would like to have more sensative brakes for the time being. I havent done this yet but I heard that i might need to leave the car "ON" but not running, but in ignition, so that the abs system can build pressure or something like that then bleed the brakes again. well any info woudl be great.. thanks
