Default Silver SC emblems

Alright guys... I know I saw a thread earlier that had prices listed from somewhere for silver SC emblems (and the prices were really good...), but I've been searching, and I can't find it again. I wanna replace my (fading) gold emblems with silver / chrome emblems. I know I can get it from the "stealer"ships, but I was wondering where might have the best prices.....TIA

Come to think of it, I have a complete set of SC400 emblems in chrome if your interested. I forgot about them. I bought them from Carson last summer but opted to repaint my gold ones in gunmetal. You can have them for $80 shipped. PM me if interested.

I bought from them and got a very good deal to replace my faded gold emblems.

hmm..its been a while, and no response on the chrome V8 emblems? ah well...

on another note...for those replacing gold emblems with silver / chrome emblems (or vice versa)...I cam across a (minor) problem. The replacements look GREAT on my PDW SC4...but the antenea ring and top of the mast is still faded gold I called the local Lexus dealer, and discovered that the ring is $20 (for stock chrome) and a replacement antenea mast is $74. I ordered the ring, since I can't find that anywhere else...but the antenea mast I found on eBay ... OEM part for under $20 shipped...not too bad.

Just thought I'd share, in case anyone else is thinking of switching emblem colors...

Sorry to hijack the thread rather than start a new one, but does anyone know of ANY DIY way to recolor silver/chrome emblems to Black or Pearl?

Looking them up, I really don't wanna fork over 150+ for emblems, if there is no DIY, I'll just leave them on the back since they are pegged in.

hmm...sand them down, primer, then spray over? that is what I was told by a friend who redid his Toyotoa emblems to a graphite color...looks hot. Oh, clear coat over to make it shiney, if you want...

I will indeed try this, Do you think dupli-color High Gloss Engine/High heat paint would work well? That is the paint i will try, and for 2.50 a can, its not much cost to try. I just dont want to do a shotty job and then have to spen the 100 bucks for new emblems. Thanks for the tip!

my friends and i were just talking about this cause i wanna paint my gold to black too. i also dont wanna pay that much for 2 L emblems (removing the LEXUS and the SC300)... plus i want it to be flat black and not the pearl black Lexus has.... They are saying that it would look cheesy, but i've seen others paint there and it looks fine. i'm gonna try it, first i'll use a 1000grit to watersand it so its smooth... then i'll spray a flat black using the spray cans used for toy models since it has a finer spray nozzle... and will see how it looks from there. then i'll get a burger from in&out with all the extra cash i'll be saving.
