I think he means an 'after' shot of the passenger side headlight to go along with your 'before' shot.

I got the same results with that green & white turtle wax stuff from walmart and a B&D mouse with a polisher pad on it. Cost under $2 for the polish, and took all of five minutes per side. Pretty easy...

Why would you bother removing the headlights?
The whole point of this thread is to show how easy it is to just buff them clear. Not sure why people think the inside of the lens gets messed up. It's in a sealed enclosure. The outside of the lens gets all the wear over the years due to it being a plastic instead of more durable glass.

I, as well as a lot of other people, would bother removing the headlights. Its not that convenient trying to buff your headlights when their on the car. I don't know about you, but my buffer is quite large. I'm not trying to put swirls in my paint. You can't even reach every part of the headlight when its on the car. Some people have moisture in their headlights and want to reseal, housing can shine brighter after novus is applied.

The guy who was asking may have wanted to paint his housing black, or wanted to take his time and do a top job, i'm sure if you only spent 5 minutes, its not as good as it could have been. Nevertheless, good job to the original poster, headlight looks clean (but could be cleaner)

i have a huge orbital buffer and i did them fine while still in the car. i just opened the hood, and that gave me enough clearance to do a good job. you sometimes hafta use the edge of the buffer, but it worked fine. and wow thats one moisture filled headlight.

OakTwnPnoy - That's good to know that your headlights have condensation in them, that's a whole different topic though. And so is putting the lights in the oven, gooing up the sealent, and getting the lenses off for painting housings or whatever, there are a bunch of threads that detail this stuff. Here's one to help you out for a quick search check.
search: remove headlights
and here's a whole search with a bunch that should help you take care of that stuff
search: remove healight

newyorksc - Like I said, the point of the thread was the ease at which it is possible to clear up your headlights by simple means. I offered up a method similar to the thread starter to show others have tried his way with success, and I'd be happy to post pics of my very nice results that took me only 5 minutes.
And to think, if another forum member happened to be nearby you that had done it this way, he might even offer up use of his polisher or other tools to get the job done better with less hassle.
But hey, if you wanna spend the time getting headlights off just because you'd rather use a bigass polisher instead of something small and manageable like a black&decker mouse that's your thing...
