Default headlight diagram

Hey All,
I have hid's in my 94 sc300, but the driver's side has bad condesation, which left a yellowish stain on the inside of the headlight. Which is really annoying, cause it's making the hid look yellow!

I've searched the archive, but I'd like to find a diagram of where the bolts are (if possible) for removing the headlight.
I seen some post mentioned that I'd have to get to some bolts in the wheel well,
I'd was hoping to get some more deatiled info before starting the fix. A diagram would be ideal, cause i'd like to take them out as quick as possible; in ain't warm outside, ya know...

more importantly
Will the dishwashing detergent clean the yellow stain?
Or will it need to be polished out?

also which socket hole do you pour the water in through, I'm guessing the corner one, cause the regular head ligh one has a projector lense blocking acess to the plastic

thanks
Ken

Ken,

There are numeous pictures and explanations on how to do this. It is only 3 bolts and should take no longer than 10 mins. To pull the lights apart and polish them will take you about 2 hours. The dishwasher detergent trick will not remove alot of scaling from water stains. You will need some plastic polish.

If you cannot find the three bolts, or it doesnt become incredibly obvious to you after you get the fender trim off, then just pull the front bolt out of the headlight and try getting the unit loose. The two nuts are on the outer edge of the light assembly and 8 or 10 mm. I never put them back in after I pull them out.

Post Headlamp bolt locations

Ken,
There are a total of (3) 10 mm bolts that attach the Lamp assembly to the body of the car.
One on the top, from under the hood,
Two at the rear, from the inside corner panel.
As PCMW notes, you will have to take the fender trim off, at least the front portion, to access your arm and wrench to reach the two bolts from behind.
Footnote:
Place some masking tape on the bumper adjacent to the tear drop corner before pulling out the lamp. This will prevent you from scraping the paint, there is a small peg at the bottom corner of the lamp, becareful and Good luck!

Here's another pic to give you an idea. The two screws on the side are tucked in between a subframe panel and the quarter fender.

Check this, it's an SC400, but should be similar enough.
