Just picked up my 98 sc300. I need a left door mirror. Do all the SC's use the same mirrors? I know some have heat and some don't, but im talking about the overall housing.

I think JDM & Euro ones fold into the car once you power off.. but i think the actual mirror is still the same.

 

There's no Euro Soarers/SC's.... they were only officially sold in Japan, USA (and Canada?)

 

oh ok > they were just imports then

 

I just want to make sure if I buy a 92 mirror it would still look the same.

So nobody knows if the SC's have the same mirror style from 92-00? (I know some are heated some are not)

fyi: mirrors are visually the same. 96+ sc's have electrochromatic outside mirrors. I do not know when they started heated mirrors on sc 300s/

 

97+ mirrors are slightly smaller around the edges because they have the auto anti-glare device...It makes everything look green..

I have both a 93 and a 97. The 97 has a small rubber lip that runs around the outside of the mirror glass. The 93 is glass all the way to the edge of the mirror. I also need to get a driver side mirror replacement for my 97. It's really weird. It's almost like the mirror is clear. I can see through the glass to the backing the the mirror. Anybody know how much it costs to get the mirror replaced at the dealer? I don't want to go the a auto glass place because I don't think they'll be able to have the glass with the rubber lip like stock.

 

97 should be like my 98. Which is electrochromatic. Dealer wants $625, if you want to buy new from dealer I can probably save you $100 because I have a shop.

The heated mirrors probably have been there all along...i have a 93 and the mirrors are heated...and from what i see the later models 97-00 have them...
