SC400 Dash Removal
I have a 92 SC400...and a friend of mine says he can make my gauges "white" and fix my needle for me cause it's dead.
I was wondering if anyone has ever taken the dash apart and how hard/easy is it to do?
If all goes well, i'll take some pix and post them.
Thanks for the help,
Tony

I didn't think that the needle could be replaced but that the whole unit had to be replaced. Oh well, im not having that problem yet.
Taking apart das (im assuming u mean the instrument cluster):
- on the part that has the buttons to change time, dimmer ****, etc. pull it straight out disconnect the wires.
- on the top of the main cluster, there are two small black caps. pop those off and take out the screws.
- now, pull the instrument cluster out and find the screws to the black plastic trim, etc. It is pretty self explanatory from here on. I think that is all but if not, i will be back and correct b/c i haven't done it in a while, but will this weekend. Hope sum of this helps.
Post pics when u get the white face guages.
