Default Soon to be driver

Sorry guys i wasnt sure if someone has asked some of this or not but my search button hasnt been working.... I just wanted to ask u guys some questions because i was gonna be getting my first car soon. Ever since my brother was first getting his car he liked lexus's. So i looked into them and saw the sc's and i just fell in love. To me the sc's arent something that u need to spend alot of money to make them look good and go fast cause they already are. They are beautiful cars.... I was wondering are the Sc's considered sports cars cause ive tried to look this up and i cant ever find anything that will help me out. Another question, I really liek the 400 do you think that would be a suitable car? When you guys reply I would like to ask some more questions if u dont mind me. Thx guys and u all have a good day.

Im 17, 18 in about a month and ive been driving my SC300 for about 1 1/2 years. Its amazing, ive always loved these cars and I continue to enjoy it everyday.

If you do end up looking for one, consider where you have to park everyday for school, and the kind of kids that you go to school with. I get all kinds of crap at my school for driving the lex. In the school parking lots you gotta watch out for idiots who dont know how far it takes to open there door until it hits the car next to them.

Just what ive experienced so far.. As of now, absolutely no mechanical problem with my car and it just passed over 100k on my 93. Excellent car - and its nice to have a car that nobody else at my school drives

Just my input though

He speaks the truth. Espeically for a kid of 16-18 yrs old. While your still in school and trying to work at the same time X_X Money gets tight, especially when you get alot of the "cheaper mods" done. Then all you have left to look at is FI and thats way more money than I can get my hands on anytime soon

Still a great car, love it to death

I got my SC when i was 16 too, spring of sophmore year. I'm 19 now. I don't know how much insurance, just for me, was but I can tell you that between me and my parents, insurance w/AAA was 2000/year. We had full coverage on a 97 Camry and only liability on mine and my dad's 02 Corolla. It also helped that I had the good student and new driver discounts. We did an insurance quote and put me under an 86 Corolla and it cost more than it did for my SC, seemed kind of odd to me, but whatever. I'm happy that I got the SC as my first car, hope it works out for you the same way it did for me.

i agree with all of that except above: my view is screw what other people think of yoru car, its yoru car and its part of your self expression so drive waht you want, do waht you want with it

im 17 right now, selling my v6 camry (1st car) and getting an sc300 soon. its cool that there are many of us young'uns with sc's
