Question

To all you tire experts,

How wide in the size of the wheel you can go with out any side effects and keeping stock rim ?

Stock rims: original tires 225-55-16
225 is the width of the tire (how wide) measure in mm
55 is the aspect ratio 55% of the width
Diameter = (225mm X .55) X 2 + (16 x 25.4) =
16 is measure in inche 1 in=25.4 mm

You need the same diameter for the ABS to function correctly.
245-50-16 or 255-50-16 is about the same diameter with the original tires.

I guess you're asking about the SC400 - were the stock wheels/tires the same throughout the years?
I know that the '92 SC300s came w/ measly 15" wheels. That was one of my first mods!
