I just got my car about a little over a month and tires has bubbles already. Can some please tell me what is the proper or best set of tire i should get. i need all 4 of them. My tire size says 225/60/16, but others told me to get 255/55/16 then i need what kind of tires i should get.

255 is too wide for proper fitment on the stock rim... If you're sticking with the stock wheels the stock tire size is a good fitment you should put back on them.

 

I think the stock size for your car is 225x55x16. If you're looking for something a little wider, 245x50x16 is an almost perfect replacement. There are some who will say that a 245 tire is a little wide for a 7" wheel but most tires I look at say that 7" is within the fitment width range.

As to make, model, etc., there are more opinions on here than there are tire types available. You should give use some idea on how you drive and what you want to spend. We see you live in Florida.

I would like to have a little wider tires, are u sure gettin the 245/50/16 won't be a problem? I drive my car about 5 to 15 miles daily and occationally on the highway, and alot of times, honda, Mustang and mitsubishi calls me out and I usually go for it hahaha its FUN! I need a tire that would have a good handle when i go through a puddle of water or when its raining. I'm thinking of getting the Michelin Pilot Sports, w/ a little wider tires. I need to get the tires soon hopefully tom. I'm in badly need of recommendation of what size and kind of tires i should get w/out a problem. Thanks again.

I'm no expert here but I seriously looked into putting 245x50x16s on the stock rims of my 96 SC and everyone says they fit with no rubbing or other issues. Hopefully the rims you have are the stockers or at least 7" wide for these tires. I will warn you that you may get more tramlining with the wider tires. I will be putting 245x45x17s on mine as soon as I can wear the current 235x45x17s out.

Regarding the michelin pilots, those are a top choice everywhere and likely the ones I will get next. I don't think you'll find anyone here who will trash them. In the time that I've been watching what I read most is "if I had the money I'd have Michelin Pilots (or Pilot Sports)". So, if you have the money, go for it. I also regularly read good thing about the Dunlop high end tires.

Shymae, I have 225/55/16's on my car and they're perfect. No issues whatsoever. The tires look right and handle perfectly for stock wheels. That's just my opinion.
