Default Intake snorkel

If removed do you think any water can get up to the filter?
I removed mine, it's my first step towards the BFI. If it's going to be a problem I'll block it up with the under headlight chamber. The reason I ask is because this car is my daily driver so I can't get the BFI done in one day.

Hey Allen, I don't think water should enter ur intake if the snorkel is removed. Unless you drove without ur headlight, then maybe

Sounds good. I think the next step on my intake will be to do the three chambers. Than I'll look for some matching bellmouth type dealies.

Just do a search for "BFI" and you'll find lots of threads with pics.

instead of doing the BFI i made sort of like a ram air,I took of the snorkel and turned it upside down, with the mouth pointing downard,I then made a tunnel that picks up air from the vent on the bumper next to the turning lamps,So when your highway driving, the air is picked up from the vent and into the air box.sounds complicated but ill try and snap some pics of it

Ok, for anyone who has done any BFI type modifications.
Did your temperature drop any when doing these modifications?
I only removed my snorkel and my temp. is reading 1 notch above the lowest.
I don' t know if that's normal or if my gauge is all screwy.

I doubt a BFI will drop actual engine tempeture by much,it would drop intake tempteures, sounds like your car wasnt fully warmed or your gauge is reading crazy

I just had my cluster redone by LLS. He said I have to readjust it on my own.
