ok after i drive for about 3 minutes the powersteering fluid BOILS out of the resavour all over the friggin place.... im replacing the ps pump now. could ne other things could be wrong?

I have never heard of a failed pump causing PS fuild to get heated and boil. But I guess stranger things have happened. BTW is the CAR overheating at all?

 

WTF? It's "boiling" out of the reservoir from under the cap??? Why would this happen? It's not under any heat conditions is it? At least not enough heat to boil the friggin' fluid...

 

nope never overheated. and yea out from under the cap 92' sc400 the regulator mabey?

 

most likely the pump is cavitating heavily and entraining a large amount of air into the pressurized hydraulic system. this gives a perceived boiling effect. many liquids under vacuum on the opposite end for example will also boil. this is closer to a boiling in definition though because heavy vacuum alters the physical properties of most liquids. anyways, replacing the pump is an excellent idea. make sure the lines are all good as well. also make sure to remove the air introduced by new components and disconnections. there is info here somewhere about that. additionally, make sure the vacuum system is not becoming pressurized due to pvc issues or otherwise.
