Default New goodies

Here is some new stuff I got in the mail over the last few days. Even got some if from a fellow CL member, thanks

Undecided on what to go with for shocks, but I need to save up some cash before I get them anyways. I'll hopefully put this all on in a few weeks when I have some free time.

Eventually I'll follow this up with some sway bars (TRD or Daizen???) and I'm going to make some custom bushing for the whole suspension out of "Shore 95" on a lathe and sleeve them.

The clutch is a cheapo replacement. I needed something cost effective b/c mine is slipping all sorts of bad. It will have to be replaced when I get the turbo done anyways.

If thats the one from eBay, is it the SECO or the Exedy OEM one? Im looking to buy a new clutch kit within a month or two, and I want to know which one I sohuld go with. Anyone have opinions on these $100 clutch kits?

Strut bar is an Ebay cheapy. It see no reason it wouldn't work. Its just a lateral brace, not to hard to mess up. The welds are very average and something I could do, but not a big deal.

The clutch is the Exedy OEM replacement with no options avalible.

I tried to put on the cheapo strut bar this afternoon and it was no good as i suspected it did not clear the intake manifold, everything bolts up but it will rest on the manifold and cause vibration when the engine is on, from what i know you must get 4 spacers and stack 2 on each side. But i heard they cost 15 dollars a peice so I just went and got washers it did help but then there wasnt enough threading to put the nut on with the washers i put in place(i got teins and i heard they have more threading than oem too). so I guess if it does clear it will be like 1 mm clearance. Seams like too much ghetto rigging to get this to fit so im just gonna forget it for now. even if i got it to fit im thinking the nuts may pop off in the future with the way i drive.

Let me know how your install goes. If you can get yours to fit with ease i may reattempt this install.

If I have this problem I'll let you know. I'll modify the strut brackets rather than used a spacer, it should be easy to do with a welder. I'll just cut off the existing ring from the vertical bracket and then weld on and additional section to get the clearance. Then grind, sand, and repaint. I may also add some more bracing because it looked like there is some room for improvment.

In either case, I'll take photos and post them. all though it may be a few weeks, untill I have acces to a welder.
