- Already tried the search feature - all I could find was info on ebrake light coming on when brake fluid was low (don't think this is the case for me)
- Here's the problem
- Originally I was getting a clunking noise from the right rear suspension
- I took the car to the lexus dealership, they found the problem to be a leaky strut
- I replaced the strut (myself with the help of a friend) (when the strut was out we looked at the mount and it looked fine to me (didn't replace mount))
- Noise was gone after strut was replaced
- However noise came back after about 2 weeks
- Shorty after the noise came back my emergency brake light would come on intermitently when I was driving
- It would only come on, when either I accellerated hard, braked hard, or hit a pot hole, or a bump in the road with my rear wheels.
- It would go off after I hit another pot hole, or just go off by itself sometimes.
- Then within the last week whenever the emergency brake light comes on the traction light also comes on (Not the trac off light, but the one that usually flashes when the wheels are spinning) and the light stays solid (doesn't flash)
- As of the last few days the emergency brake light and trac light stay on pretty much constant, and once in a while when I hit a bump they will go off for a few minutes, but then end up coming back on
- Is there any such thing as traction control sensor, or ebrake sensor wires, that are maybe shorting out?
- Any suggestions?

Lead Lap
just a guess....could it be the brakes need replacing?
Ive been gettin the brake light on when accelerating after braking and I get the TRAC light on solid every once in a while and I know I need to replace my brakes.

that BRAKE light will come on when you're low on brake fluid.
check it
as far the suspension thing goes, not too sure.

I have the trac off light problem too. Had the sensor cleared this past weekend and all was fine, today the light came on again but now its off.
Im now starting to drive conservatively (having less fun) with my car because Im realizing that after all, it IS 10 years old and needs alot more TLC than I am originally giving it.

Figured i'd check out the brake fluid, was bearly down. Put a tiny bit of fluid in and both lights have completly gone off. Thanks guys! Now to resolve the suspension problem
