Default Brake Warning Light

I had the same problem a while ago on my '90 LS. Apparently, there is a safety feature that will not allow the cruise control to work if the brake fluid level drops below a certain point. This, of course, will also trip the warning light. Turns out I had a leaky brake hose. You might want to check your fluid level first.

Im not sure if you are getting the rear brake light failure light,
or the parking brake light. I had the light failure, so I can tell
you about that. It will cause a short on your instrument cluster,
also when you press the brakes, the transmission shifts into
neutral. I dont think the cruise works either. If it is an older LS,
chase the brake light wires, mine were very brittle and just broke
from the FL heat. Good luck!
