Finally found a SC. Now have questions.
Bought Tommy K's SC in the classified on this site:

Some pics he took: (I don't have a digital camera)

I'm very happy of course though the car needs a few things fixed still.
Stuff the car needs right off, the rear bumper could use a repaint which it will be, drivers side regulator needs fixing/replacing which I've already found threads on, and need to clear airbag light from the dash having been out.
I know what to do on the above 3, I have some questions about the stuff below:
edit: Fixed:
Right after getting the car a family member managed to break the driver's side door handle and it looks like the passenger might be about to crack, not sure. What's the best way to go about finding new door handles, is this something where the dealer isn't so bad price wise?
Edit: still need help:
There is also a bit of a noise when making turns that require turning the wheel alot, it's fairly quiet...it sounds like someone tapping a hollow plastic box at half second intervals. Everything feels fine and smooth though. I didn't notice this a week ago when I drove the car, but the powersteering pump was replaced yesterday(with a used unit), could they be related? Or something in suspension, Control arm bushings are replaced with daizen urethane ones, and He gave me sway bar bushings too so I assume those need replacing, but haven't been done yet.
Edit: It doesn't make this noise when you are sitting still and turn the wheel(went full to both sides), apparently only when moving.
Also the keyless entry doesn't work, I think the key itself does because it transmits on 94.9 like it is supposed to, but nothing happens. When I was trying 2 diagnostic things I got from here that involve locking/unlocking the door and other things I noticed that when I press the door button to lock doors, both doors lock, but when I press the unlock the drivers side door doesn't unlock(have to do it manually) could this be causing a problem with the keyless entry ecu? Whether it is or not, what do I need to do fix that?
edit: fixed door lock and regulator, still need to mess with keyless
(have to open door anyway for window regulator)
Edit: Ok I want to know if the procedure listed in the 5th post here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...=Registaration
works on 92, the guy who did this had a 96. I don't know if the ecu is the problem spot, but does anyone know if the Remote ECU from a '92 LS400 would work in SC, I managed to get one for free out of a wrecked LS
Car drives very nice....and has all the options, Nak, heated seats, traction control, and the phone.

93 with 111 or 124 I forget. $10,500 (very good condition though)
93 with 155 for $7.500?
95 (not great condition) 125k for $10,000+
93 with 130? for $8,500
Also one piece of crap that was 7 or 8k
There was another up for sale, but wasn't comfortable with some stuff.
Only one of above that had nak or traction control was 95(which had bad leather, and full repaint with some paint chipping off), none had heated seats.
All of the above had some paint issues, one I bought does too but not too bad (and it will be fixed).
Cars might have better prices in LA, but I don't have time to drive that far to look at every one.

Ok, new question my "battery discharge light" comes on when both of the following happen:
Brake lights are on + Low rpms(like 750) So basically only when idling at a stop light. Light goes off 5 seconds after I drive off. Ideas?
edit: Ok from searching it sounds like this is a grounding problem some people have had similar stuff going on, like dash dimming in time with turn signal etc.

Well the battery is supposed to be pretty new so hopefully it's not that. I'll check the grounding stuff for any corrosion first I guess then have other stuff checked.

Also Tokico Blue(I guess, that is what the blue sticker means on strut right?) came with the car, they were supposed to be for a supra. When I do get wheels that make the car worth lowering, is this a good start? and what springs and stuff would I want to go with them, and what struts for the front? Matching?

This exact thing happend to me when i was at low rpms the battery light would come on at low rpms and then when i gased it the light would go away. I drove around like that for a day and a half then my car died due to no power. Your alternator is probably a gonner and your probably driving off your battery right now. I ended up replacing my alternator. but a few days later my car wouldnt start and then i found out my battery terminals were no good as well. After i replaced that i had no problems ever since. I would check the battery terminals first since thats a 5 dollar replacement. then i'd get the alternator checked right away, dont drive too far as you may run out of power very soon if your alternator is indeed dead.
