\lately it has been raining here. seeems like everytime it rains the car feeels like it has more power and accelerate better. when i was driving yesterday in the rain it seem like the car has more power than it usually does on sunny day. just wondering what might cause this or it just me thinking it has more power when it rains. i thought i would lose power during rain because 2 of my tires are close to bald so i would lose traction.

I've noticed this too, often also when exiting the car wash. I just figured the car was happy about being clean. But probably the temperature cooling has something to do with it.

The engine will make more power on a cool day due to the fact that the engine will get a denser air and fuel charge. Some competition race cars will use what's called a "cool can" - essentially a can filled with ice that surrounds the fuel lines.

Yeah, when I wash the MG it gets mad at me and lets the water come thru the soft top and give me a bath, some cars are so mean to their owners.,...
