93 ls400 220,000 miles while normal driving on highway car loses power then picks back up a minute or so later does the same thing any ideas what can be causing this.also reading a code 25

 

Are you saying you lose all power, like the car completely stalls, but starts up again after you come to a halt?

I had that problem too, every 4 or 6 months it would do that, but its been good for almost a year now Id say.

Replace alternator possibly?

 

no normal driving say at 60mph car will lose power drops to 50mph then pick back up

 

Oh ok, we obviously had different problems. My car would suddenly lose all power. Display would light up like a xmas tree and there was no power. I would slow to a complete stop, and then a restart was possible.

 

Since I've been using my heater a lot more I've noticed it takes a lot longer for my car to get up to speed and it shifts differently compared to when i turn the heat off completely. I wouldn't call it losing power but it does seem like its not getting enough power. Any idea's fellas?
