Hey Guys,

I am having problem with what I think is the ignition switch. Today my power door locks ,rear view power mirror and automatic steering wheel column stopped working. Also the lights on my in gauge clock are dim and it always resets to 1:00. I have had problems in the past with the ignition switch contacts cutting out my steering column when starting the car. Also before everything went out I would remove the key and the windshield wipers and power antenna would not turn off.

I guess my question is this, is there a way to repair the contacts or do I need a whole new ignition switch? If I get a new one do I need new keys also? Anyone have any ideas where I might be able to pick one up and how much it would cost?

Thanks for the help!!

you need a Lexus tech and a fire extinguisher. you are getting into some major potential problems. Airbag is in that area also, so time for headgear.

one of the first times i have heard of this.

That bad huh? Is it possible that it's just a new ignition switch needed? Anyway I'm taking it to Lexus tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what I find.

Yeah, I'm not going to have them fix anything just diagnose it. Then I can see if it's something I can do myself or have my local mechanic fix.

Ok, according to the Lexus Dealership the problem is an integration Relay and will cost $258 for the part and one hour for installation.

Anyone have any idea how hard this would be for me to install myself or should I just let Lexus take care of it?

Thanks!

Ok, here is the latest. Lexus thinks it's the integration relay but can't be certain. It's located right behind the driver side fuse panel (O.L.T. do you kow what this is or more about where it is located?) I am getting the car back from them today and I'm going to try and replace it myself. Aliga if you have this part let me know. I will see if I can get pictures of it tonight.

Thanks again!
