I just checked my Lexus app and under the service campaign section, Lexus finally now offers the NACS to CCS adapter! I reached out to my dealership today and they placed an order for one, even though it is under backorder right now… they didn’t require me to come to the dealership yet to order which is a time saver!
Thanks for the heads up.
I just called my dealer and the placed the order without delay. Also scheduled 2 software-updates / recall campaigns for when I go to pickup the adopter in ten days.
Call your dealer to order yours!
On a related note - has anyone confirmed that RZ's can use Tesla's regular NACS superchargers with an adopter?
Just got mine.
Haven't tried using it at a Tesla charger yet, but I'm sure it works.
May need to set something up in Tesla app (I also have a Tesla), but will deal with that if and when I might need it. Until then, the charger will sit in the trunk, junk in case.
In a pinch I charged my 2023 RZ450e today on a Tesla charger using the adapter. It works but yes you do need the Tesla app and to give them your billing info. The biggest issue was getting the car physically close enough to the charger to be able to connect the relatively short Tesla cable which I guess is used to only reaching to the rear ends of Teslas. The front nose was up over the curb and in contact with the plastic bollard. Also even after I ended the session on the app, the car wanted to just keep on charging. By pressing “unlock” on the key fob 4-5 times in succession, it overrode it and ended the session. I wouldn’t go out of my way to do it but in a pinch it was serviceable. All of the 3 electrify America chargers were taken so this let me use one of the 8 neighboring tesla chargers where I was.

Good info, thanks for sharing.
How was Tesla super charger pricing vs. Electrify America at that site?
At the time, it was about the same, around 50 cents per kWh, which is trash obviously and thankfully I drip charge this car 99.9 percent of the time at home.
Can someone post a picture of the adapter? My dealer is supposed to order one for me but I am also planning to order an extra online. Or would someone recommend a different adapter?

Just Google image search NACS to CCS adapter. It comes with a Lexus logo on it. Ask your dealer (although my local dealer is clueless about the RZ) but I don’t see any reason to use one other than the approved Lexus one and only potential risk and downside if there were some issue.

I believe the Toyota Lexus adapter is a rebranded 2.0 Lectron CCS TO NACS adapter with interlock
here is a pic of the adapter

For the record, here is the adapter kit for the 2026 model. I already had the J1772 style level 2 cable for my NX so I was pleased to see the car came with the J1772-to-NACS adapter. I believe the other larger adapter is a CCS1-to-NACS adapter.
I will be curious if others have problems physically accessing the Tesla chargers. To me the tricky part wasn’t the adapter, rather it was getting the car physically close enough to the charger to make the connection. At least at the Tesla charging station I was at in a pinch, the cords are very short I guess built under the assumption they are plugged into the rear end of the vehicle. If I hadn’t been willing to go up over the curb I wouldn’t have been able to use the Tesla charger.

Just park forward right? Instead of the normal Tesla backing up. It seems like it would reach but haven't had the opportunity to confirm.

Yes, pulling in forward (duh) the cable was so short it didn’t reach unless I went up over the curb and into the plastic bollard and even then it was a huge battle and I was worried I was going to damage something in the plug it was pulled so tight on both ends. The cable was that short, particularly compared to the more generous length at the Electrify America station near my house.
I am curious to hear from those who have actually gone to Tesla stations whether this is a one off or more of a widespread issue.
