I made a huge mistake of not realizing that my RX500 would not have a 360 camera. Sigh. I miss it (had it on my 450).
Is there any way to aftermarket this? Any advice appreciated!!
Also, quick rant, I hate hate hate that Toyota/Lexus has insisted on implementing TSK on these new models. I can't even use a simple OBD2 reader. I won't be surprised if this ultimately goes the way of the blowback against Apple and the "right to repair" but for now it's simply infuriating.
There is no OBD2 port on this car? How can that be, its an EPA requirement. States use OBD2 for emissions inspections on car, how can there be no port?
There is an OBD2 port, but Toyota has started implementing a security measure that they call TSK (which I believe means "Toyota Security Key" but I may be wrong) that limits the ability of non-Toyota authorized applications to access it. So my OBD2 reader can't see anything. It's sort of like encryption, though I understand that technically that's not the right description.
I guess you can only pull basic fault codes with the simple readers. These OBD2 ports now represent big risks for theft of cars, by thieves who can use them to make a cloned key in no time. Maybe this new security protocol prevents that, the problem is apparently so bad that people are putting physical metal lockboxes around their OBD2 ports.

Really don't like mine. It spins and even stopped perspective is really weird. They need to edit it better to make it understandable.
The calibration required for even a minor accident that displaces any of the four (4) cameras
is time consuming and tedious. Marks on the shop floor and tripods with targets and weights
in the car to level it... The actual "stitching" of the multiple images to produce the smooth
panorama view must involve a fairly quick computer chip or two. Retrofitting a panorama setup
would seem to be a rather costly preposition.

If this is true, it would cause me to not buy a Lexus/Toyota ever again.
I have a low end Autel OBD reader and it reads all the proprietary Mits codes. The higher end Autel units claim to be able to read the TSK-protected OBD2.
Reading the codes should be no issue, otherwise state emissions inspections couldn't take place. The manufacturers are forced to do something because of all the auto theft from cloning key fobs using the OBD2, it's rampant.
I'm just here to complain but I still find it inconceivable that a $70k+ car in 2023 doesn't include a panoramic camera. It is certainly my fault for not making sure of this before I purchased but damn, this is considered a "must have" in most major publications (car & driver, etc) and I am still smarting about it. Toyota/Lexus doesn't care what I think but for anyone that is considering a purchase, make sure you get this pedestrian feature.
New here. I test drove a 500h and asked the salesmen what features/options were NOT on the vehicle I was driving. I was told it didn't have the 360 camera because of supply chain issues. He said there was no way to add it after the fact, and that sometimes they will get one that has it, and it will be on the sticker if it does. I didn't dig deeper to see if there was an aftermarket solution. I hope that helps, I don't even know how knowledgeable the salesperson was, honestly. The last sales person I dealt with before him told me I HAD to put in a non-refundable deposit to reserve a vehicle which led me to just wait around for months hoping I found something that came into inventory. Come to find out that was a lie.
