Howdy all,

Does anyone know how to permanently clear the alert you get at start up after adding a new key to the car? I was able to get the digital key working and set my husband up with a digital key too. Now every time I start the car there is an alert that a new key was added. I can clear it immediately, but it’s back at each start up.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I get this too. I guess the good news is we got the digital key to work. My wife actually called me yesterday in a panic that somebody had a key to the car😊. I will mention it to the dealer at the 5000 mile service. It goes away pretty quickly so it really doesn’t bother me. Frankly once I get the second key fob, I will probably delete the app. I’ve had apps with my last couple of cars and played with them when I first got my vehicles, but never used then afterwards. Then again I’m 65 years old…so probably not as “app centric” as younger people.

 

There is a time limit for this. It might be 1 or 2 weeks after the key was added.
