How to stop side mirror tilt in reverse?
When I go into reverse, my side mirrors tilt downward. I know this is common on higher end vehicles, but I have always been able to easily defeat this feature. For instance on my Highlander, there was a **** that allowed you to choose the left or right mirror to adjust. There was also an “in between” or neutral position that did not choose either mirror. If you placed the **** in the neutral position, the mirrors did not tilt in reverse.
The RX owner’s manual instructs you to do basically the same thing as the Highlander, but I am unable to place the switch in a neutral position because it is an electronic toggle type switch and I can only choose left or right, no in between.
I feel like I am missing something. Has anyone else been able to defeat the window tilt in reverse feature?

EDIT: This works on the 2023RX. Select NEITHER the driver’s nor the passenger’s side mirror and the reverse tilt is off.

You can adjust your mirrors to the setting you like and memorize them. If you shift to reverse then adjust the mirrors and then drive and adjust again. Now add to memory #1 you like. This way it will tilt how you like (little to none to lots)

See these above photos. The mirror adjust can be for left, right or neither. If you hit the green “L” or “R” (one is green), it will turn off, therefore becoming “neither”, like the bottom photo above. That’s it! Leave that in “neither” mode and the side mirror tilt stays disabled.
