Default Lexus Subscription Expired

Has anyone had their Drive Connect and Remote Subscriptions expire after the 3 year time period. I knew I would lose Navigation and Lexus voice assist. I was surprised the app still shows tire pressure, fuel level in % (instead of actual miles), and still can locate the vehicle. Has anyone that did not renew seen the same result. I don't think their "Lexus go anywhere" plan for $15/month it worth paying for. I prefer using Carplay.

I'm not planning to renew when it expires in December... Can you check if the Traffic Jam Assist feature still works without the subscription ?

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, traffic jam never activated for me since moving to VA. It requires certain parameters to be present in order to activate. When traveling in the New York Metro area it worked great but the traffic in VA isn't as bad.

Mine expires this month. I've never used it except to ask for the weather. I won't miss it.

I renewed the $15/month remote connect/ nav package just for the remote connect features. Pre heating or cooling the car in weather extremes and being notified of an unlocked situation or open window is worth it to me.

Mine expires at the end of the month - I also intend to renew with the $15 remote connect plan as we regularly use the option to start the car from the app. I don't like starting it from the key fob since once you open the door, the car shuts off (similar to my ES350 and typical of Toyota/Lexus) - but when using the app, the car doesn't turn off when opening the door. That alone makes it worth it for me!

They must have changed that in the 2025's as when I start the car using the fob and open the door the car does not shut off.

In Germany, Lexus has disabled the remote heating / pre-climate function via the app for many combustion and hybrid models. The reason is local regulations against engine idling, since remote heating can start the engine. The feature was deactivated via software update to avoid potential fines for owners.

Fully electric models are not affected.

Yep - doesn't shut off but you still have to press the POWER button to drive. I'm sure someone somewhere will view that as a huge inconvenience

I view the subscription concept as paying for the same device/option twice. Also, a lot of the technology works so poorly I don't use it at all. I really can't believe that they would risk losing a future customer for $15/mo. Shame on Lexus. I'll be looking else where on the next purchase.

I'll never pay for any of that. Should be included in the purchase of the car. Don't want it, don't need it.

My friend was shocked when his 1 year complimentary Ford Explorer Blue Cruise came up for renewal. $50 per month!

I remember the stringent German rules about "warming up the car." They also used to require you to shut off the engine, at traffic lights.

Lots of places in the US have anti-idling laws as well.
