My nearly two year old RX350 needs a new injector in the engine. How is this possible and should I worry that there will be additional problems? I had an 2015 RX350 for nine years and never had a problem. Unbeleivable.
Always premium but I do vary amongst providers. Do you recommend a certain brand?
I've been a refinery engineer since 2008. I mostly use Costco gas, but occasionally run Shell and Chevron. Each has a different additive that is beneficial and all three are top-tier.
In the past 25 years of owning fuel injected vehicles, I have never had a fuel injection related issue and I seriously doubt that the brand of gas had anything to do with your fuel injector failure. My guess is that it was just a manufacturing defect.

It's quite possible Lexus or any other brand. Good news is you have a warranty.
Exactly. I had a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had to have a cylinder head replaced at 400 miles. Turns out the valve channel wasn't bored to spec during manufacture and was slightly narrow, so every time the valve heated up and expanded it would get stuck open. Once they replaced the head I never had another issue with the engine. Manufacturing, even in the best factory, isn't 100%. You just won the wrong lottery by getting that 1 in 1,000 part that was bad.
