WIFI Notice Pop up
Anyone know how to stop this from coming up. It connects in my garage, when I drive out of range this comes up. I don't think I need WIFI for anything in the car. I have just been hitting cancel but I would rather it not come up at all. Maybe I need to go to settings and tell it not to connect at all?
Yes it trying to connect to primary phone via bluetooth and it connects for second but the loses connection, for example my wife truck set to her phone. However when I pull it out of garage or use it that pops up as it connects for second I think then loses signal when I leave the driveway.
I had the same issue when I enabled the car's built-in WiFi. It wasn't worth it so I disabled it. If you hear on the forums here that there's a software update available, you can re-enable it for a faster download, but it really won't make a difference.
This has nothing to do with WiFi hotspot in car, the car uses bluetooth/wifi to connect to your phone. This is related to phone losing connection.
Test start the car have your phone connect to car, then take your phone away from the car while leaving it on then come back without the phone the pop up will be on.
Hot spot, has it own setting which you can toggle on or off.

I’m having this same problem. But, I am also losing Bluetooth connection when starting the first time that day. I have to go back into manage devices where I see “use Bluetooth for CarPlay” has been turned off and it’s only on for media! Once I reenable the ability to use it for CarPlay it is good while running errands. It reconnects automatically every time restartedthrought the day. But, once it has set all night the whole game has to be restarted. Becoming annoying very fast.
EDIT: in retrospect I think this is happening only when I remote start the vehicle while out of Bluetooth range. Sure would be nice if it would reconnect automatically when in range!

On the screen to the left, you will notice a phone isn't on one of the buttons connected.
We have been using Bluetooth for calls, texts and music for 15 years now, works fine.
Not enough bandwidth for the Maps in Apple Car Play / Android Auto so they use WiFi.
You pair the BT and it switches to WiFi if you select ACP/AA.
The error message can usually be solved by unpairing the phone, cycling the phone off/on
and then repairing the phone. Since most of us also use WiFi to our phones while at work
and at home, there is sometimes a glitch when starting up the car within range of the home
network and forcing the phone to make the choice.

So basically it's like my wife when she has to make a choice.....can't decide so just quits.
