This is worse tbh, rear wheels are where the stability comes from and you hit water like that and you will spin instantly. Always have more tread in the back regardless of driven wheels
Could be they know, and they may not have enough money for tires. I heard that a lot south of the border 20 years ago and the used tire market made a good living there, but I know a person or two here in Florida that has that issue also.

Used tires are a thing. They’re generally not fantastic, but they’re cheap as hell and not utter garbage like this.
