Does the automatic recirculation function on the RX actually work?
I’ve set the automatic air recirculation sensitivity to level 3 on my RX.
It makes no difference whether the A/C is on or off – the recirculation icon stays greyed out, even when there’s strong odor (e.g. in a tunnel).
I can clearly smell the fumes entering the cabin.
Question: How is the automatic recirculation supposed to behave? Is there any way to tell when the system switches to recirculation?
Does it work reliably for you?
On the previous model, I could set it to automatic and it worked perfectly – clearly visible when it switched.
My dealer says: “You can’t adjust anything else, it works automatically.”

Issue resolved.
The automatic air recirculation in tunnels or with exhaust, only activates when A/C is on, climate control is set to "Auto", Climate Concierge is enabled, and automatic mode is active. So I can’t use the function without A/C, and I can’t manually control the A/C as desired – the full RX system has to be in control. I hate A/C air.
