Default RX 350h Advanced Park Option - Review?

Wondering if anyone who has an Advanced Park option on their 2023 RX350h could share a review? Does it work as expected? Would you order the option again? Can you trust it?

I have tried it a couple of times and the tech guy at the dealership showed it to me. My initial thoughts are that it takes way too long to park and I had a hard time getting it to park where I wanted to park. It wanted to choose the space. Maybe as I get used to it it will get better, but with the auto function on the pano camera, I will probably never find myself in a position of having to use it. Never have to parallel park.

I posted a video of this in action on one of the threads - I agree, the downside of it is that while you are engaging it and selecting the parking spot, people are going to be honking you because it takes too long to setup and perform the task.

Default Advanced Parking Option

When I got my RX350h about 100 days ago, I was a little overwhelmed with all the new technology. The Advanced Parking, which I played with a bit, scared the heck out of me. As time has gone on, more videos have appeared on YouTube. I found this one today (below) and have been experimenting with “auto park” (Advanced Parking) and it IS still scary, but seems to work flawlessly. I hope to reach a confidence level that allows me to use this all the time.

At least here in NY, if I paused that long to engage this system when pulling into a parking lot - then waited for it to park, while blocking the lane - some irate person would confront me. It's fine in a low stress parking situation, but not at your typical mall.

I tried it in an empty parking lot and it did not work as I expected. I don't see the point of this function, seriously how hard is it to park a car.

I’m still playing with it, but I’ve had a few scary moments. And it doesn’t always find the obvious parking spot. I’m just about ready to deem this as “not ready for prime time/experimental only”.

Yep. I gave up a long time ago. Maybe OK for parallel parking, buy way too slow for perpendicular parking.

Yes, were all guinea pigs for autonomous driving one day, but not today. Be glad you didn't buy a Tesla with autopilot, that experiment cost you $15K and for some stupid people their life.

Even the parallel parking almost scratched my wheel on a high curb, had I not hit the brake.
