Default RX windshield sunshade?

Anyone find a sunshade for their windshield that that think works very good and fits nicely?

I like this one a lot:

I typically use the heavier, folding CoverCraft shades but specifically went with this lighter version due to concerns after reading about the dashboard that can mar easily. I didn't want to risk putting marks into the dashboard from removing and inserting the heavier style sunshades.

Go for it. I'm going to switch back to that lighter style for any new ones I buy. The stiffer ones are more difficult to deal with for my wife and when my daugther is in the back seat, they keep jabbing into things and people and especially now with these more delicate dashboards.

Default Umbrella Type

FWIW, I like these umbrella style shades. There is dash contact for those that are concerned.
Off of Amazon and other places I imagine.

This is a 57” L x 32” T version.

This may sound like a dumb question. Do you find the Bamboo color on the steering wheel distracting ? I feel like i would like the bamboo touches along the center console but not the steering wheel for fear of my eyes always focusing on it.

@Tsukuyomi - no, it doesn’t bother me at all.
I think the phone angle in the picture distorts how high it appears, I don’t recall seeing it in my peripheral vision during any drives.

I use this in my 2020 RX and while its not cheap at $50, it provides 100% coverage on the winshield and has done its job on keeping the interior of car cool, especially under the hot Florida sun. The only downside is that its fairly stiff so you'll need to roll it up horizontally to store it.

I think I’ll be doing an 80% ceramic tint on our windshield. That should block most of the UVs without messing around with a shade.

It's not going to block IR and heat nearly as well as a sunshade. This is my second vehicle with a tinted windshield and it still gets pretty hot parked.

That is why we had the dealer enable the 'windows-down-with-the-key FOB' setting at our first service. They tried to talk us out of it, but we insisted.

Why were they against it?

They are afraid that it could accidentally open the sunroof & windows while in a pocket or purse, without the user realizing it.

Of course, only when it RAINS.

More seriously, this type of occurrence is known to happen on Hondas.

I have the same interior and do not find it distracting at all.
