Looking for input for new SUV.
My opinion is unpopular, but the RX is a $57k vehicle. It's built like one, drives like one and is outfitted like one; 350, 450, 500, F-sport, H ....blah blah blah.
It certainly is a capable vehicle, and classification gets a little blurry when trying to arrive at a comp set for the RX line-up (because Lexus classifies it as a Mid-size SUV). Part of problem these days is that manufacturers and media alike will run round-ups comparing vehicles that really are not in the same class. While passionate owners will defend to the death, the build quality of a Lexus is a half grade above their comparable Toyota step siblings, In the end, a Lexus is a Toyota with some nicer finishes. I won't speak to the Volvo, as I have no experience with Volvo's. Comparing an RX to the X5/Q7 range is apples to oranges.
An RX is comparable to an X3, Q5 or MB GLC, Valve XC60, GV70
These are my opinions, and again, I like my 350 F-Sport, for what I paid for it.

Yet wise consumers have made it the #1 best selling luxury SUV for ten straight years. Much better reliability much lower maintenance cost and much lower depreciation. The top 20 mid size luxury SUVs ranked in depreciation Lexus RX lowest X5 18th. Twenty luxury cars ranked in maintenance cost Lexus second lowest only behind Tesla and BMW 18th lowest out of 20.

Did you read all of that information on the internet?
I mean, I guess if it's on the internet, then well, it must be true, right?
The OP was asking for opinions and not regurgitated 'statistics' (which, a lot of which are paid for, OMG)....
Sorry it hurts, but we all own Toyotas pal.

OP: Its your money - you will have to decide what you value, and how you want to spend your money.
Asking other people how to spend your own money will probably not lead you anywhere. However, you will sure find a need in many people to claim that how they spend their money is the only right way to spend it.

Wait you are saying anyone would rather have opinions than facts LOL. I could'nt care less about your opinion or anyone else's compared to web sites that have maintenance cost depreciation cost and dependability rankings. If you are being sarcastic then Sorry. If I am buying a new $55,000 vehicle would much rather have you opinion with zero facts over my three data points.
What drove the broad search was my desire to get a car with adaptive headlights, like the kind in Europe, that use an active LED array to shape the high beam so you don’t blind people, yet get full high beam power where you need it. You couldn’t get it in the US because of legal constraints, but that law was changed in 2021, and the obstacle to getting them in the US supposedly went away. Unfortunately, the bureaucracy is still blocking them. As it is now, there is no car, from any manufacturer, at any price that can offer them in the US. It was particularly aggravating that you can get them on the Lexus RX in Canada, but in the US version all you get is the automatic high beam. The AHB is pretty good, but it’s not adaptive.
The 2025 RX450h+ is easily the best car I've ever had. Being an EV, you can imagine how quiet it is inside. Even when it goes into hybrid mode with the engine running, it can be difficult to detect the switch over. You can tell when it’s running on gasoline or battery, but I certainly wasn’t bothered by engine noise.
Lexus ride is smooth and tight, comfortable seats, and a lot great convenience features. Safety and luxury abound.
UNFORTUNATELY…
The beautiful experience of this car is STAINED by one thing, and it’s a BIG one. So big that I started a separate thread: LEXUS and YOUR data.
