I spoke to my local Lexus dealer and despite Androids having these issues, iPhones cant even pair to the digital key. This is apparently a known issue that Lexus wont fix unless there is a "task case" opened in service for it for your specific car. It is a giant pain so I chose not to use it but if it was a selling point for you, I would have your local service department go through those motions.
I am having The same issue and after checking the web it seems like Toyota's are also having the same issue. Sounds like a bug in the software. Really shouldn't have to report it to a dealer and waste my time, instead have Lexus work on it directly.
My iPhone pairs just fine. However I don’t use it as it is a really poor implementation.
NFC would have made more sense.
Screwed by the chaps at Toyota Connected once again. It looks like Lexus won’t get the more expensive technology as we have to keep things watered down at the Toyota level.
Not an Android Auto issue, but a bluetooth issue: I have a 2018 GX460 and Samsung Galaxy S23.
Ever since I have had the phone, the bluetooth pairs perfectly and without any intervention from me. Today, for the first time, each time I get in the car, bluetooth appears connected but there is no audio. I tried Youtube and other streaming sites, making sure nothing was muted. No audio until I disconnect bluetooth and reconnect. I must do this each time I start the car now.
Also when bluetooth finally does connect, I hear a connection tone (like a portable speaker will play) that I have never heard before.
Was there some recent firmware update to Android phones that did this?
Since the last Lexus App update on my android phone I've been constantly getting Bluetooth Pairing Request alert. It pops up every few minutes.
It's really annoying.
Does anyone else with Android Auto and downloaded digital key have the same issue?
Galaxy S23+ with latest Lexus app on a 2024 NX 350. Yep, getting this problem and have taken numerous steps to try to resolve including removing and readding the digital key and completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app. No luck.
And it definitely did NOT used to do this until recently, likely the app update.
I have a Pixel 8 Pro and this has been driving me crazy the past few days. Not sure if the glitch is due to the latest Android phone update, Lexus app update, or something else. I'll delete and reinstall the Lexus app, but, per post above, that probably won't fix things.
