Help! My daughter was in my car yesterday. She did not drive it but today the dash is displaying either "Cruise control mode" or "Adaptive cruise mode" with the hands on the steering wheel icon and I can't get it to go away. I drive in town in stop and go traffic so I don't need cruise control activated at all. I have watched the videos and done everything and I still can't get this off the screen.

 

On our 500h, the CC buttons are on the RH steering wheel stalk. Switch both lane keeping assist and active CC off to see if that helps.

Oh, and keep your hands off the touch-sensitive buttons.

Otherwise, we'll just blame your issue on the wrinkly steering column filler. <--- just kidding
That really BUGS me, its the same on our RX.

 

Is that a 25MY with the newer cluster?

 

Following, I just got my RX last week and cannot get rid of it either. Only way is to change the cluster meter but I like the one I chosen which will display the “cruise control, adaptive cruise control mode” all the time

 

We got our RX350H last week. I am facing this same annoying situation too. Has anyone known the answer to this?

I have a 2025 RX350H. I don't have the Head-up display (which appears to have some different options on the steering wheel buttons).
On mine the cluster options can be changed with the buttons on the left side. I can set up 3 different 'scenes'. Each of the three 'scenes' have three 'windows', Left, Middle and Right. I have scene 3 set up with the Left window blank, Middle window blank, Right window blank. This then shows a small version of the cruise info with the lane and the steering wheel in the Middle window. (izzat a steering wheel with hands or an alien putting on headphones?). This is the cleanest cluster option I have found.
My scene 1 is set up with the Drive Assist/Cruise option in the Left window, Blank in the Middle, and some mileage info in the Right window. This then shows just a small version of the steering wheel/alien in the Middle.
Use the left/right arrows on the left side of the steering wheel to toggle through the 3 scenes, press OK to change/program a given scene, toggle through the up/down arrows to see the available options for each window, use the left/right arrows to change between the three windows for a given scene while in the programming mode, hit the return arrow button to exit programming when done programming a scene.
This is likely info you've figured out and I may have just confused the issue with 'scenes', 'windows' and aliens.

 

I got my new rx 450h+ 4 weeks ago. A,lot of good things in this car but I think Japanese engineers must go deeper in a simple concept: USABILITY. Too much technology implemented in a weird way (to be nice) or with tons of useless options hidden in different menus and submenus with no logic. This is, in my opinion the true weakness of this car.

Bought a new 350h for my wife last week, she won't drive it for that reason. After the Technology guy at the dealership started his lesson, I knoew I was in trouble. Have to have phone for maps, nothing is intuitive. Loved her 18 450.

She's in tech development, specifically software, so it's not a beyond her thing, its a "stupid" thing with the software interface. Nothing is simple and the car wants to do too much for the driver.

 

Every single driver assist feature can be turned off from the shortcut screen (the square dots next to the climate tab). And the built-in Lexus navigation system does NOT require phone pairing to work.
