2024 Price/Lease Thread
Hey everyone, just wanted to share my information about my 2024 RX450H+.
This is my first time leasing a car, so not sure if I did this correctly (lol), but it made sense in my head.
I went with the Lease to get the $7,500 Cash and added a $1,000 Military Rebate.
Cheers you guys!
This is my first time leasing a car, so not sure if I did this correctly (lol), but it made sense in my head.
Numbers BLUF:
MSRP - $10,000
"4 Month Wait" before I can buy out the lease
Dealer gave me MSRP on a RX450H+ Luxury, and negotiated another $1,500 off."4 Month Wait" before I can buy out the lease
I went with the Lease to get the $7,500 Cash and added a $1,000 Military Rebate.
I put enough down to ensure I still had overhead in my monthly for other expenses.
I will buy the car out, after the "Unwritten Rule" of buying the lease. (4-Months)Is that a thing? I don't want to burn bridges with my dealership, since I really enjoyed working with them and they are the closest one to me.
So far, The wife and I are really enjoying the car. I came from driving a 2013 Scion FR-S and a 2022 Prius Prime.Cheers you guys!

(Absolutely hated the car buying experience - so served them right)
hello. havent been in here in awhile.
just got an offer for 2500 off msrp on RX500H fully loaded not even at dealer yet.
pretty large volume lexus dealer.
figured we pull trigger before trump tariffs skyrocket the cost of the RX and it will happen.
what you all think.

You can do better. They are not selling that well. The 450h+ is just as fast and a more comfortable product, much more in demand and harder to get. This is what I got after test driving both. I didn't like the 4 cylinder (with the 500h it's basically always on, with the 450h+ it becomes negligible especially if you're not doing tons of highway driving, but even on the highway, with the wind noise and radio you can't really hear it). I got almost 10% off mine two months ago. Go to an Auto Nation store and give them your bottom line. They'll match it as long as it's less than 10% discount off the MSRP. Watch out, though, they will try to claw back their discount with nonsense such as the Auto Nation "paint protection" and "interior protection" programs (at $699 each) which do nothing for you. Ask for the final breakdown and cross out those items (which they will stealthily put on and tell you "it's company policy, we can't sell cars without these" - believe me, they can). Be prepared to walk out. They won't let you walk out. If you really want the 500H, you should be able to get 10% off. The 500h looks a lot better, the seats are harder, and it has some real nice upgrades that you can't find on the 450h+ like adaptive dampers (not a big improvement but still something extra), rear wheel steering (this is good) and there was one other thing that I forget. I would look at the PHEV if I were you, though, even if you only get 5% off. Also if you choose a '24 model, you will have more leverage in negotiating. The difference between '24 and '25 is basically zero, but for resale later on the car will seem newer. Personally I would wait for a '25 unless you really think the talked about tariffs will make an impact... which for the car industry make very little sense given the competitive nature of American car companies but given all that's happened post-COVID, anything is possible and usually not good...

Just for reference, I had an offer for leftover '23 RX500h's (dealer had 6 of them) that were being sold for $10k off MSRP. This was last summer when I got my RX350 FS.
The 500 is just not worth it, IMO.

I paid full MSRP on my 23 and 24 RX's as the local market dictated at the time. Where I got the best deal possible was by sticking to my asking price of my trades (researched the trade in value and I did not budge in both deals, got what I wanted at the end of day). Good luck and cheers.
I leased a new 450h+ a few weeks ago. I took advantage of the $7500 lease credit. In addition, my wife, who negotiates for a living, negotiated an additional $6000 off the MSRP, which was $77,000. So the car cost was $77k - $7.5k - $6k, or $63,5k, plus tax.
A week after we got the car wewent back and paid off the lease. I had no concerns about my "relationship" with the dealership; it's their job to worry about their relationship with their customers. Oh, and I love everything about the car.

Congratulations! That's a great deal. Was it a 2024 or 2025 model? I am having tough time getting anything off the MSRP but do plan to take advantage of the $7500 credit. Which region are you in? I am in Texas and they are selling well.
The key to the deal, however, was the additional $6k discount from the dealer, which brought the price down to that of a 350h. Otherwise, from a financial point of view, I don't think it would have been worth the premium for the 450h+.
It was a 2024, and I'm in the Los Angeles area. There was no prepayment penalty on the lease, which made paying it off right away sensible. That said, the only reason we paid it off so quickly is that my wife hates owing money on anything. From a financial point of view it would have made sense just to let the lease run.

I would have gone for the Rx350h Lux ($70K with options) but with the $7500 cash offer, it will be close to the 350h and my daily commute is < 30 miles. Hoping for savings on gas in the future. Thanks for the quick response.
I plan to payoff the lease as well, don't like monthly payments
