Which body panels are steel?
Question has been posed...steel panels can rust. Aluminum panels don't, but can be more expensive to replace in the event of body damage.
Being curious, I grabbed my magnet and found:
Engine Hood = AL
Front Fenders = AL
Tailgate = Steel
F & R side doors = Steel
Body Side stampings = Steel (rear fender and side door surrounds)
Front roof = AL (roof panel between windshield and pano sunroof)
Rear roof = Steel (roof panel between rear of sunroof and tailgate)
Tailgate 'spoiler' = plastic

The only one I didn't know about was the front roof. Kind of surprised there because I'm sure the A pillars are steel. Seems odd to go to the expense of putting in that small a piece of aluminum.
