Default Windshield Washer Problem

Have recently noticed that my driver's side windshield washer fails to spray anything. The passenger side operates but not as well as previously. Yes, I've checked the washer tank, and it has plenty of fluid.

I just used my wiper washer today and boy is it disappointing. Not enough flow or coverage. How did the engineers expect a nozzle an inch from the glass to cover the long drivers side wiper blade. While I'm on it I also wish the blades could be lifted when washing the car. Having to get into the car, push the start button twice and holding up on the stalk and turn yourself around is a pain.
Another question while I'm at it. Do you have to worry about the fluid you use damaging your plastic headlights as well?

You have two choices to park the front blades in the service position. Hold the wiper stalk up in the mist position after you turn off the car until they move (you have about 45 seconds to do this after shutting the car off) or Hey Lexus put the wipers in service position.

Oh, good call. I didn't think about the Hey Lexus. Is Hey Lexus always available or is it part of one of the many paid services.

Did you add dawn or any other soap to it? Try flushing the reservoir with water, there may be some gel accumulation blocking the flow.

Probably going to be one of the connected only commands but won't know until the 3 year trial ends.

My only beef with the wipers is splash back on the right side when using the washer. I have to make several passes of the blades before everything gets cleared on the passenger side. No I won't be going to the dealer for this

The car will automatically do one pass after but I agree it needs another.

No the dawn may be what is plugging it up. Just flush it with water and see if the flow is restored.

Yup funny you should mention that....My previous SUV was a black MDX which I was always detailing, waxing once a month since I had purchased it. I would wash it every week or more depending upon the weather. One day (year 5 of ownership) one of the guys at work asked me why I bothered waxing. I of course had to bite and asked him why he said that. He replied "why do you think they advertise disk soap as a degreaser". Good grief I had not even thought of that. I was spending time waxing and then removing it lol. I now use wax safe car soap, lesson learned. Cheers

Of course it was what everyone else was using, didn't give it a second thought until my workmate brought it up. Back in the day even used to wash on sunny days ,only use one bucket, all in the past now-dedicated car soap, two buckets, wash in early morning or late evening and dry surface with absorbent towels to prevent water spots. Cheers

Default Brand New RX350h - Window Brush Sensor Problem

Hello

After purchasing this brand new car, Rx350h, at June 2023, which comes with a reputable brand and is not inexpensive, I have encountered several issues: One of main issue is Window Brush Sensor.

The window brush sensor wasn't working properly It rained a few days after picking up the car, and the rain sensor did not work. I initially thought I didn't know how to use it. After watching the Youtube video and reading the manual, I confirmed that it is not properly working.

During my first visit to address this, I was told there was no issue!!! I returned home without anything to be repaired. It's a waste of time and gas, and nothing is resolved except the loss of half a day off at work.

As the problem persisted, in the second visit, the sensor was adjusted, and it functions little better. But still there is issue.

At the third visit (Apr/2023), the technician sprayed water on the window and identified that it was still not working properly. He assured me that he would fix the issue. so dealershop replaced the wiper sensor assembly, but the same symptom persists. they asked for advice from Lexus Canada and wait for advice.

NOISE!!!
I told both service advisor that I visited three times to repair the window wiper, and after the foreman did various things (assembly replacement, sensor adjustment, etc.), when it rains and the wiper operates, a noise that was not there before is made. I have already experienced with other brands of cars that it is not easy to eliminate noise.

PROBLEM AGAIN:
It rained on May 2024 and the Windows wipe didn't work properly again. If there was too much water, it wouldn't work(is it normal? When various problems occurred after picking up the car, I never doubted the Lexus brand, just as I did not know how to use it or doubted the performance of my devices (USB drive, etc.)), so I had to remove the water manually. And then it works again. And then it stops.

Shocked that the wiper sensor became a problem again. Tired. I'm giving up on repairs for now I decide to use it manually for a while. Because there is no time and no guarantee that it will be repaired. However, this is something that must be fixed.

How about yours? No issue?
