Default MPG for RX350?

I have a non-hybrid AWD. It is supposed to get 21 MPG in city / 24 MPG combined (https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find...n=sbs&id=46233). However, I have been getting about 18-19 MPG combined. Does anyone else have a non-hybrid AWD and if so what is your MPG?

Can't tell why my MPG is low. Perhaps the car is still "new" (700 miles on it) and needs to break in? Note that I have the 21" wheels with correct air pressure, have been using premium fuel, and driving in normal (not Eco mode). I haven't been driving all that aggressively either.

‘The milage you get has many factors, including how you drive. Not driving “that aggressively” is a big factor.

Break-in is part of the issue. MPG will improve as it breaks in.

Are we talking US gallons or Imp gallons....I suspect US Gallons.....

You will probably get about 16-18 MPG in strictly city stop and go traffic, lights, etc. That's what my 2022 NX got after 3000 miles.....was not impressed, but I didn't care about a couple of MPG...I don't drive that much.

However on the Highway at normal highway speeds, driving like a sane somewhat normal person, windows up and using the AC, you might get as many as 28-30 or more MPG. Did a road trip 300 miles constant driving and got 32 MPG cruising 60-65 on a nice windless warm day.

I used to get 17 on my 2020RX around Pittsburgh on the approved regular gas. The new RX should get 10% better, (but costs more since premium gas costs 20% more) so that would equate to 18-19. I did get 30MPG on the highway. I'm guessing your combined MPG will approach the 24 posted as your vehicle breaks in.

Or the OP could just use regular gas and save a lot of money. If he does not want to save money, why worry about the milage.

Default 16.5 MPG on RX350 turbo premium plus

Have around 550 miles with 100% city driving. Got 16.5 mpg with stop and go traffic. Have to take for road trip after 1000 miles to see how mpg would be…I am not aggressive driver and maintain between 40-50 speed limits…

We have a AWD RX350 (2.4T) Premium+ with 21" wheels. In May, after only having about 1,000 miles on the car, we did a road trip from Ann Arbor, MI to Cambridge, MA and back. The car was pretty heavily loaded with stuff to take out to our son. Running with cruise control @ 78 (if traffic allowed) most of the time (with help from Waze and a radar detector) my calculated MPG was 28.3 (not including urban driving around Boston). We're going to make the same trip in late September, now with more than 5,000 miles on the car, so 'll be interested in seeing what MPG I get.

consistently getting 28 mpg on road trips, other non stop and go driving. Our town has no traffic lights, so our mileage overall has been very good.

The RX350 has the same basic engine as my former 2019 RAV4. It didn't begin to get decent mileage for several thousand miles after break-in. Be patient folks.

My new 350h got good mileage from the beginning. However, with almost 5 thousand miles it's starting to exceed its EPA mileage, on regular gas. Outstanding.

RX350 has a turbocharged 2.4 Liter engine (Newly introduced in 2022 in NX). Rav4 has completely different drivetrain (2.5 Liter Naturally aspirated).

RX350h has the same drivetrain as NX350h and similar to RAV4 Hybrid.

OK I just wrapped up a 2200 mile from Dallas to Boulder CO. and back. The 3 tanks I measured accurately going 80+ MPH not climbing in the mountains 29..1, 26.5 and 27.9. This is not interstate but nice divided hwys that have some smaller towns with stop lights here and there,.miles and miles apart.

Going through the Pass into Cripple Creek, CO

Top of Mt. Evans Colorado 14,100 ft
