It's not bad in my opinion, I got used to it. It's simple & easy to use. Way way better than the touch pad in our previous NX.

Does anyone have any experience with this setting?

I tried uploading a picture of the manual, but Club Lexus is having issues with uploads...
Like you, I felt very frustrated at first. After a while I became use to it and no longer even think about it. Give it a little time.

I've grown to love those controls. I've customized both sides to do the things most useful to me - drive mode right side and temp controls left side in addition to the default audio. I can pretty much use them now without looking.

No problem here, learned it in 10 minutes. I like to be able to customize them.
