Default Cracked Plastic Trunk Open button

Hi, I have a 2020 RX 350 and the trunk open button to the left of the steering wheel has cracked - i barely use it as i have the feature on my keys. The car has 40,000 km. Very disappointed as a perceived quality car is "cracking". Looking for thoughts on whether this would be warranty?

If it is within the years/mileage for Canadian warranty it should be covered.

I sure hope so - apparently it's manager's discretion - which is a bit worrisome.

Sounds like a defective part from before the day it was installed.

Or that there's more to the story that we're not getting.
